National Art Interiors + Design Raises Money for National Brain Tumor Society

National Art Interiors + Design began their “Shop, Save and Support” Fundraiser for the National Brain Tumor Society this month. The NBTS raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and support services for brain tumor patients and their families.

The cause is a personal one for the company, as NAID owner, Holly Fuller, lost her father after months of battling a brain tumor. “On April 10, 2008 I lost my father and best friend, Dr. Bertram W. Coffer. While it was not the brain tumor that ultimately took his life, it was the brain tumor that he fought against the last 6 months of his life. Not a day goes by that I do not miss our daily conversations about business, current events, family weekends at the beach, and life in general.”

For the entire month of September, NAID will donate a portion of their sales proceeds to the Race for Hope, held at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC. In addition to a portion of sales proceeds, donating a minimum of $ 5.00 to the cause will result in an additional 5% off any accessory in the store! Fuller will personally deliver funds raised by the company to the 2010 Race for Hope in DC.

Their fundraising efforts are coinciding with their annual Anniversary Sale, in an effort to boost donations. Henkel Harris, Baker Furniture and Hickory Chair are all up to 45% off special orders and floor samples. All accessories in the store are 35% off through the month of September. The store is opening its doors on Saturday, September 26th for the final day of the sale.

National Art Interiors + Design first opened its doors in Raleigh in 1944 and remains one of the oldest, and most highly respected, furniture and interior design firms in the Triangle area. NAID recently moved into its new showroom in Midtown at 5041 Six Forks Road. The new showroom features a state-of-the art library for custom interior design selections. The showroom is open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
